RESTORATION AND CARE OF GRAVES

Symonds Street Cemetery has been designated an historical site. Auckland Council and Waitemata Local Board assisted by HNZ and FSSC have developed a comprehensive guideline for the care and restoration of graves for those who wish to restore a family or relatives grave. To find if a person is buried in SSC go to the Auckland Library and look under the conservation section. This data base has a list of all those buried in SSC.

For further information about the Cemetery and other cemeteries around Auckland- Auckland Council have a database of information which you can access here.
