Rose Trail and Heritage Walk

On 21 November 2018, there was a Rose Trail and Heritage Walk in Symonds Street Cemetery where those attending learnt about the heritage roses in the Cemetery and heard stories of some of the many interesting graves found in the Presbyterian cemetery site.

Winter Rose Pruning is a regular activity, normally from 10am to about 12.20pm, with tea and coffee provided.
We need as many people as we can get to ensure we cover all the roses in Symonds Street Cemetery. This pruning ensures we get a lovely display in the Spring and Summer. We can provide some tools but ask volunteers to bring their own secateurs, loppers and gloves if they can.
Look forward to seeing a big group when we next call for volunteers.
